“The Man from Earth: Holocene” was shot in and around Los Angeles, California, during the first two weeks of June, 2016, doubling for Chico, California.
The movie was filmed on a range of locations; the only constructed set was the basement of Carolyn’s home, where a climatic confrontation takes place.
“The Man from Earth: Holocene” had its world premiere at the 2017 Dances With Films Festival, at the historic Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.
“Man from Earth” cast members John, Ellen, Akemi, and Richard attended, along with co-writer/producer Emerson Bixby and a range of crew members, plus actor/writer/producter/director Jon Cryer (who frequently collaborates with director Richard Schenkman).
